Birdies in the snow March 01, 2009

Not very good pics...I don't have any experience taking snow pics...thank goodness!!

Thrasher with a snowcap on.

Little Chipping Sparrow I believe.

Mockingbird looks mad!  hehehe!!

This little Cardinal looks like she's saying 'please make it stop!'

Bad hair day for sure!

Even Momma Towhee came out for something to eat.

And a Thrasher...hadn't seen one on the feeders this winter at all!  He looks a bit

puzzled, eh?

And the Choir Sang On

4 Eastern Towhee chicks nestled in the front hedge of our house in North Fayette County. Unfortunately the father met an untimely death from window strike, but mom continued to care for the chicks. She moved the chicks when the temperature jumped in the 90's last week. I have since seen what I think is the mother gathering food, so I expect the chicks are doing well.
